You heard that right! Sam’s Even If is currently the number 1 song in the Top 10 OPM Weekly Countdown at KTKB Megamixx 101.9 FM Guam.. not just this week but for 3 weeks already! On his third week of being number 1, DJ Migz was able to talk to Sam live on air yesterday, January 18, via long distance call using Mang Isko’s phone card (LOL @ Kuya Migz). This was made possible through the help of Dhelcee (Elite Samster from Guam), Andy (our President), in cooperation with people from STAGES (Kuya Carlo and Ate Judith), Tito Ray, Tita Gene and Sam, himself!

Congratulations Sam! Again, we’re so proud of you! Most especially, congratulations to all the Samsters from Guam!! You made it possible.. Please keep voting for Sam’s song there! Hope you get to keep him #1 there for weeks!!

STAGES-managed talents Christian Bautista, Sam Concepcion, Aria Clemente and Cheska Ortega are looking forward to a hectic 2008 with new recordings, live concerts in the Philippines and abroad, stage musicals and television shows.

Sam Concepcion, who is last seen in Regal Films’ “Shake, Rattle and Roll 9″ at the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), continues to wear his new hat as the Department of Education’s (DepEd) youth spokesperson as he visits more schools in Metro Manila and the provinces, including Siena College Quezon City on Jan. 18, Rizal High School and Pinagbuhatan High School on Jan. 21, San Joaquin High School and Eusebio High School on Jan. 23, Sagad High School and Manggahan High School on Jan. 25.

Sam’s debut album has been doing really well not only in the Philippines but internationally. His carrier single, “Even If,” made it to No. 1 spot on MegaMixx 101.9 FM, KTKB, in Guam on the week of Jan. 4. Sam is poised at shooting another music video for this third single from his self-titled debut album under Universal Records. (more…)

Shake, Rattle & Roll 9 has been playing in movie theaters nationwide eversince Christmas 2007, although it premiered last Dec. 16 at SM Megamall. Of course, it was successful! Sam plays as Paeng there. Well, I won’t spoil his role there yet, but for those of you who have watched it already.. you know what happens to his character. For those of you who haven’t yet.. WATCH NOW! It’s just a short role but very significant to the story. Haha!!

Anyway, we would just like to congratulate Sam and the whole SRR9 production for bagging the 3rd top grossing movie as of this writing, with P57 million after its 9th day of showing. Plus, Sam is once again nominated.. this time as BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR for his amazing portrayal of a… go figure! Results are yet to be determined. God bless Sam and SRR9 team!!!
